James H. Byrd is the Vice President of Logical Expressions, Inc., a publishing company in Sandpoint, Idaho. He and his wife Susan Daffron operate LEI (and publish Computor Companion) from a log home located deep in the forests of the Idaho Panhandle and receive moral support from a number of weird and wonderful cats and dogs with whom they share living space.
James has been a programmer since 1985 and has written for numerous trade magazines and Web sites. He is the coauthor of Web Business Success: The Entrepreneur's Guide to Web Sites That Work and Vegan Success: Healthy Scrumptious Vegan Recipes for Busy People, which are both published by Logical Expressions, Inc.
James has experience in developing software for a wide variety of platforms from mainframes to personal computers. His database software, e-commerce solutions, and dynamic web content sites are being used by small businesses and large corporations throughout the United States. James also was a Senior Internet Developer and then Internet Development Manager for a $100 million web site (and several back-end systems) at women's clothing retailer Coldwater Creek. During his tenure he managed a team of programmers, developed customer loyalty and credit card programs, and helped keep Coldwater's ecommerce site (spanning four server farms) up, running, and making sales for several years. |
